Watch the newest Kingston landmark going up
Updated: Jun 20, 2018
Located above the ferry parking lot in the Port's new Washington Boulevard Park, the new timber gazebo promises to become an attractive new Kingston landmark and a popular destination.
Western Timber Frame designed and prefabricated the 22-foot diameter wooden structure and shipped it to Kingston where VET Industrial is building the park. On June 4, VET craftsmen began assembling the gazebo and had the basic timber frame put together two days later. Still to come: a metal roof, weather-vane and decorative corner pieces.
"It went together like Legos," said one VET worker.
