Water Folks

Aug. 8 2018--Most of those hanging baskets in downtown Kingston don't magically water themselves. They depend on the Rotary-led efforts of Kingston volunteers who water the floral baskets on a regular basis.

"There are about a dozen [of us] altogether," Mike Martin said. He, along with his partner, Ken Price, drive the Port of Kingston's water buffalo Gator and give the flowers a much-needed drink "one day every-other week and as needed," he said.

So the next time you see them out and about on their appointed rounds, be sure to wave and say "Thank you!"
